What? – Traditional folk games cultivate local customs, encourage connection between generations and strengthen the sense of national belonging. It is a key part of cultural identity, also part of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Worldwide there is a staggering cultural richness of indigenous, traditional, historical, and regional folk games from different nations and ethnic minorities, many of which are fascinating not only for their differences but also for the similarities of shared common features.

As a specific goal we want to foster the assessment and integration of traditional games as a tool on different levels,

– as cultural: maintaining cultural heritage and shaping an identity;

– social: improving the social inclusion of people with disadvantages;

– educational: achieving learning goals and lifelong learning;

– welfare: enhancing health and active lifestyle.

NB! 1. All the selected participants from Bulgaria must travel together with a representative from Footura. The organisation will assist in choosing the best travel options considering everyone’s needs.

2. All selected participants are required to take part in the preparation and dissemination tasks before and after the youth exchange in order to complete the project successfully.

3. All the people who participate successfully will be awarded with an YOUTHPASS certificate issued by the European Commission and signed by the organisers. This is an official document with online verification number which is internationally recognized.

4. People with fewer opportunities are welcome to apply – they will be given a priority.

5. After the selection is made, the selected candidates will have up to 5 days to confirm their participation by distributing the administrative fee and up to 2 weeks to buy their airplane tickets which will be reimbursed after successful participation in the project.

Start Up Canvas Project

What? – The main aim of project is to train youth workers in the field of entrepreneurship. In return, they will be in a better position to equip young people with competencies that will help them think in an entrepreneurial way, while equipping them with leadership skills to be capable to run their own business. We invite youth leaders from all over Europe to an open dialogue with their peers and European decision makers on the upcoming EU Gender Equality Strategy. The forum will highlight the importance of young voices in the gender equality discourse.

Context

The overall aim of this forum is to raise awareness for gender equality and to make young people’s voices heard in the European discourse. The starting point will be the results of the Austrian Presidency Conference “Gender Equality & YOU” in 2018, the Youth Goal #2 as well as the European Commission’s upcoming Gender Equality Strategy (expected for March 2020).

Aims & Objectives

•             To open a dialogue between young people and European stakeholders on Gender Equality

•             To raise awareness of the new EU Gender Equality Strategy and collect young people’s perspectives

•             To create links between the EU Gender Equality Strategy and young people’s realities and explore young people’s possible contributions

•             To follow up on the outcomes of the 2018 Gender Equality & YOU conference and link them and Youth Goal 2 to the current strategy

•             To raise awareness of Gender Equality as an important issue for young people and the importance of including young people’s voices in the Gender Equality discourse
